- Take tuvar dal in a bowl, wash it and soak for 20 mins time. Strain the water and keep aside.
- In a pressure cooker, add ghee and let it heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them crackle. Now add a pinch of hing and add chopped tomatoes.
- Cook the tomatoes well, now add strained tuvar dal and sauté for 3-4 mins. Add all spices and mix well. Add two cups of water to it and close the lid of the cooker. Cook it for 3-4 whistles. Garnish and serve with coriander leaves and lemon juice. This very tasty and delicious dal soup goes well with rice and chapatis.
