  1. Get 1 medium size bottle guard (lauki)
  2. Take 1 cup chana daal
  3. Prepare 1 medium size onion (chopped in small pcs)

  5. Take 1 " ginger pc (chopped in small pcs)
  6. Get 4-5 green chilli (chopped in small pcs)
  7. Prepare 1 medium size tomato (cut in med size)
  8. Take 1 cup chopped cilantro leaves
  9. Take Spices: 1 pinch garam masala powder
  10. Make ready 1 bay leaf, 1 black big cardamom, 2 cloves
  11. Take Cumin seeds, heeng
  12. Get 1/2 tb spoon red chilli powder
  13. Take 1 tb spn turmeric powder
  14. Prepare 1 tb spn coriender powder
  15. Take 1 tb spoon sabzi masala powder
  16. Get Salt as per taste
  17. Get 2 tb spoon desi ghee
  18. Prepare Cooking oil
Instructions to make Chana daal curry:
  1. Boil the chana daal and lauki in a cooker (add 1 pinch turmeric powder n 2 tb spn salt as per ur taste) for half an hour (medium flame)
  2. In a pan take some cooking oil. In hot oil put bay leaf, black cardamom, cloves. Add cumin seeds and heeng
  3. Add chopped ginger garlic. Do not fry it much. Add chopped onion and green chilli. When it becomes golden brown add 2 tb spn desi ghee and sliced tomato and all spices (powder) and salt as per ur taste and fry it till all the tomatoes become soft.
  4. Once masala fries well then add boiled chana daal and lauki and cook for 10 mins in med flame. In the end add chopped coriender leaves. Chana daal curry is ready.
