- Soak both the dals for 40 to 45 minutes. Boil dals,potato and papaya with required water, salt and turmeric in a pressure cooker. Release the steam naturally.
- Heat oil on a kadhai. Add and allow to splutter the ponch phutan.
- Mix onion and green chili. Sauté till raw smell of onion is gone.
- Add ginger,garlic and tomatoes and saute on low heat till tomatoes soft and mushy.
- Add cumin and pav bhaji masala and saute well.
- Mix the chopped palak and cook for a minute.
