Instructions to make Cabbage malai curry:
  1. Cut the cabbage in equal wedges, sprinkle some salt on them and steam them till fully cooked
  2. To make the batter - mix corn starch, maida, salt, chilli and turmeric with water to make thin batter.
  3. Heat oil in deep kadhai for frying. Dip the wedges in the batter, fry till crisp and keep aside.
  4. In another kadhai heat oil and ghee. Temper with garam masala, bay leaves and ginger-garlic-onion paste. Add Kashmiri red chilli, turmeric and salt - fry well.
  5. Now add coconut milk, boil for 5 minutes then add the fried cabbages. Boil till the gravy is thick.
  6. Add 1tbsp fresh cream before turning off the flame.
