  1. To a pressure cooker add lime beans and toor dal along with 1 teaspoon salt and 3 cups water.
  2. Pressure cook for 4 whistle on high heat then lower the heat and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally. Take this in a pot and add ginger chilli paste. Add garlic paste, turmeric and jaggery.
  3. Grind it with mixture grinder to make smooth curry and put the pot on gas. Add lemon juice. Let the dal simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. For tadka: Take oil in small pan. Add mustard seed and asafoetida. Add chilli in to it. Pour tempering over the dal and mix.
  5. Garnish Vaal nu khatu with coriander and serve with rice. This curry makes more delicious with Gujarati kadhi/ Gujarati curry. Serve it if required.
