- Prepare 1/2 bowl Arhar dal
- Prepare 1/2 bowl Rice

- Get 2 Green chilies
- Take 2 tsp Lal mirch
- Take 2 tsp Dhaniya powder
- Prepare 1 tsp Haldi
- Take as per taste Salt
- Take 3 tbsp Oil for tadaka
- Take 1 tsp Rai
- Take 1 tsp Jeera
- Take 1 pinch Hing
- Make ready 2 Long
- Make ready 1/2 Tej stick
- Make ready 2 Sabat black pepper
- Make ready 1 bowl Dahi
- Prepare Salad Garnishing
- Get 1 Papad
Instructions to make Dal Khichdi Curry:
- Soak dal and rice in diff bowls for 1/2 an hr.
- Grind onions and garlic together in a mixy. Put oil in kadai and add rai and jeera to it. Once it tempers add hing and paste and saute it till brown.
- Grind tomatoes and green chilies together and add to the onion garlic paste. Saute till the paste leaves oil.
- Add lal mirch powder, haldi powder, Dhaniya powder, salt and fry and fry till curry seems to b ready.
- Cook Separately rice and dal in different vessels.
- Once rice and dal cooked add both in the curry kadai.
- Let everything b cooked for 15 mins more by covering the kadai and adding the water to hv khichadi consistency.
- After 15 mins check out the consistency. If required add water or serve in bowl ya plate.
- Serve Dal Khichdi Curry vth dahi/raita/salad/aachar/papad watever required. 🙂
- After plated again make ready tadaka adding long, tej, sabat black pepper and pour on khichadi vth spoon.
