Mango and tuvar dal are a magical combination. Mudda Pappu is just plain tuvar dal (kandi pappu) boiled, mashed and seasoned with salt. The consistency is such that if you serve a ladle of Mudda By default, mudda pappu annam (rice mixed with plain dal) is the first course of any traditional Andhra meal.   1. Place a pressure cooker on medium flame,add washed and cleaned toor dal add two cups of water, add in 1/2 tsp ghee, turmeric powder,coriander powder, chopped green chillies, onions, tomato, crushed garlic, and washed& chopped spinach and fenugreek leaves, close the lid get 3-4 whistles.
  2. Open the lid when cooker is completely cooled down, mash everything together,with a masher or a ladle add tamarind pulp water, and salt mix well together, get it to boil
  3. For tempering add 2 tbsp ghee in a sauce pan, heat up add mustard seeds, let it splutter, add cumin seeds, red chillies and curry leaves saute for 2 minutes add to the dal. your yummy healthy green pappy is ready to serve with pipping hot rice enjoy…😋
