  1. Make ready 250 g minced lamb / beef or combination of both
  2. Get 2 potatoes
  3. Take 1 bag spinach
  4. Make ready 1 can chopped tomatoes or 2 finely chopped fresh tomato
  5. Get 1 finely chopped white onion
  6. Make ready 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste (or 2 garlic cloves and a bit of ginger blitzed)
  7. Make ready 1 green chilli finely chopped (or blitzed with the garlic and ginger)
  8. Take 1 tbsp tomato puree
  9. Get 1 cinnamon stick
  10. Make ready 2 whole cloves
  11. Get 1 bay leaf
  12. Prepare 1 tsp turmeric
  13. Take 1 tsp curry powder
  14. Get 0.5 tsp chilli powder
  15. Make ready 1 tsp garam masala
  16. Take Salt to taste
  17. Get Some oil to fry
  18. Take Chopped coriander to serve
Steps to make Rishna's Kheema:
  1. Heat some oil in pad with a lid and fry the dry ingredients (cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaf) for 1 minute
  2. Add the chopped onion and stir for 30 seconds
  3. Add the ginger, garlic and green chilli and sauté on a low heat until the onions start to soften
  4. Add the chilli powder, curry powder, turmeric, garam masala and a generous pinch of salt and sauté for a few more minutes
  5. Add the meat and stir for 2 minutes
  6. Dice the potatoes and add to the pan
  7. Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and enough water to just cover the meat
  8. Cover and cook on a low heat for 15 to 20 minutes
  9. Add the spinach and stir through until wilted
  10. Check the meat is cooked and add salt if required. If there's still excess water, uncover and the boil water off
