- Pulse the grated coconut, spice powders, salt and garlic using the chutney jar of the mixer.
- Add the coconut spice mixture to the cooked moong and banana stem. Cook till the masala is well cooked and water has evaporated.
- For the tempering, heat oil. Add mustard seeds and urad dal.
- When the mustard seeds start popping, add curry leaves and chopped dry red chilli.
- Pour the tempering on the cooked moong and banana stem and turn off the heat. Mix well.
- Let it stand for a while and then serve.
