  1. For Marination: Firstly, clean and wash the fish slices nicely. Drain off the excess water. Marinate it with the ingredients mentioned under "For Marination".
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add the fish pieces and fry on both sides. Remove from pan. Allow it to cool a bit. Remove the skin and thorn and set them aside.
  3. For the Gravy: Heat oil in a non-stick kadai. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add the chopped garlic and saute for few seconds.
