Instructions to make Palpali chukaunu curry with batuk:
- For batuk soaked the lentils overnight of all different types of lentils.
- Blend the lentils with some amount of water to make it easy to blend.mix all the ingredients given for batuk vada,ginger paste,salt,cornstarch,cumin and coriander powder and water.
- Heat oil in a pan,pour the batuk batter in a piping bag and release the batter in a hot oil deep fry the batuk till golden brown. Continue the same of remaining batter flip the batuk of both side and fry well.
- For chukauni curry:Boil 3 medium sized potato and cut into a cube size. Add the potatoes onion,yoghurt,salt,red chilli powder,and mustard paste.
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan,and saute methi dana seeds, and dry red chillies,untill it turn black,add turmeric powder before mixing it to chukauni mixture.pour the curry mixture in the oil and cook for 5 mins.
- Add 1 cup of water and mix it together. With proper consistency of curry add chilli and salt as per taste. Now add the batuk in the curry,and well mixed with the curry for an hour.
- Batuk chukauni is ready to serve,serve it as a side dish with rice garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
