- Take as needed Beef or chicken cubes (optional)
- Prepare pinch Nutmeg powder
- Take 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
My version of these Kenyan style masala chips takes the ordinary chips to a whole new level. The masala coats the chips perfectly and its the best dish to create for those quick lunches. Masala chips are best served straight away. You can reheat them on a baking tray, but they're not nearly as good as fresh.
Instructions to make Masala chips:
- Wash and cut the potatoes like how we cut french fries
- Then mix the patatoes with salt and oil. Preheat the oven for 20minutes.
- Bake the potatoes in the oven for 20minutes @180' or you can deep fry. Keep it aside when it's done.
- Now in a pan pour oil put jeera powder and fry finely chopped onions to golden brown. Keep the flame low
- Add finely chopped capsicum, green chillies and fry nicely
- Add ginger garlic paste followed by grated tomatoes. Fry nicely till oil separates
- Add all the remaining masala powders and cook well
- Then add the cooked chips and mix well with out breaking the chips.
- Add all the sauces and mix well. Squeeze half lemon gently and turn off the flame.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
