- Make ready 1 tbsp grated ginger
- Take 2 tbsp juice of fresh lime
- Make ready 1 tbsp Garam masala
- Get 1 tbsp curry paste ' not the yellow curry powder ' ( I like to use Patak's brand )
- Take 1 tbsp Salt
- Get Butter chicken sauce
- Get 1 liter Neutral tomato sauce ( not the store bought jarred type )
- Make ready 500 ml 35 % cream
- Make ready 1/2 cup sweet butter
- Get 1 cup finely diced white onion
- Take 2 tbsp curry paste
- Get 2 tbsp Garam masala
- Make ready 1 tbsp sweet paprika or hot
Instructions to make Butter chicken ( my version ):
- Preheat oven to 350
- Place chicken on baking tray lined with parchment paper or foil and bake for 10-15 minutes.
- In a medium sized pot on medium heat add butter, onions, garam masala, paprika and curry paste.
- Sweat for 5-10 minutes. stir well as to prevent burning. Add tomato sauce then cream. and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add chicken. Return to stove and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
