- Get 2 tbsp corn starch
- Get 2 tbsp maida
- Get 1/2 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Take 1/2 tsp salt
- Take as required Oil for deep frying
Steps to make Cabbage malai curry:
- Cut the cabbage in equal wedges, sprinkle some salt on them and steam them till fully cooked
- To make the batter - mix corn starch, maida, salt, chilli and turmeric with water to make thin batter.
- Heat oil in deep kadhai for frying. Dip the wedges in the batter, fry till crisp and keep aside.
- In another kadhai heat oil and ghee. Temper with garam masala, bay leaves and ginger-garlic-onion paste. Add Kashmiri red chilli, turmeric and salt - fry well.
- Now add coconut milk, boil for 5 minutes then add the fried cabbages. Boil till the gravy is thick.
- Add 1tbsp fresh cream before turning off the flame.
