  1. Make ready dry roasted Moong Dal
  2. Take raw rice / little millet
  3. Get ghee or as needed
  4. Prepare cashue
  5. Take curry leaves
  6. Take jeera
  7. Make ready black whole pepper
  8. Take Salt as required
  9. Take Turmeric powder
Instructions to make Ven pongal:
  1. Keep a cooker add Moong Dal and raw rice add a pinch turmeric powder,salt as needed and 4 cups water,close the lid.once it's cooked nicely switch off the stove.
  2. Open the cooked and smash it nicely.
  3. In a small pan add ghee jeera,cashue whole pepper and curry leaves.once cashue turn to golden switch off and pour to the pongal and mix well.
  4. Now serve hot with sambar and chutney..enjoy the traditional South Indian breakfast ven pongal
